Booth Update

Wow, it's been a while since I wrote about the booth!  Let me bring you up to date - sales have been good - meh - nothing to write home about. The last half of November was not what I had hoped for honestly and I'm a bit bummed.  I'm not finding the good Pyrex like I was for a while there, and I think that is affecting my booth sales and overall look.   Send me some good Pyrex vibes guys, I could totally use them!
Oh, and why haven't my super cute mini wreaths sold yet?!  Come on people, they're freaking adorable!  I'm working hard not to take it personally, but if they don't sell soon then they'll come back here to my house and get the love they truly deserve.  I'm such a drama queen ; )
Resellers - how have your sales been?  Are you selling well in your booth, at craft shows and/or online shops?  Be honest, I can take it!

  5. My husband and I sell at an antique mall in Sacramento and sales for September and October were dismal. November was fantastic though! Hopefully December will be just as good. Overall our numbers for the year as a whole are way down from 2012. Not sure what's going on...maybe the Mid Century bubble has finally burst?

    1. I shop the sacramento area for mid-century deals and have found that the prices in local antique stores for mid-century have doubled in the last year. For myself, I have to do my own digging at thrift/estate sales to find what I love in my price range. Where last year I felt the prices were reasonable enough to pay and not have to hunt. Just sharing my own experience.

    2. Thanks Kimberly. I have noticed that prices in general have gone way up. I do agree with you that a lot of mall dealers tend to overcharge..which is a shame because I think it has the reverse effect on shoppers and makes people spend less.

    3. You're absolutely right! When prices are reasonable I will shop more often, the high prices send me elsewhere.

  6. I'll let you know on Sunday. ;) Set-up for Rue de Noel was today and I got just a teeny tiny peek of the other booths and what other people were bringing in--let's just say I mentally spent every cent I haven't even earned yet. LOL Hope things pick up for you--I think your mini wreaths are darling!

  8. I am always so jealous that you have a HUGE booth to work with, I resell in a space the size of a tiny closet, a bookshelf, actually. This month online was excellent but my antique mall booth BOMBED! First time I didn't even make rent. I've already made what I made last month in 2 days! :P Thanks for the inspiration and honesty. Gonna work hard on finding fresh "food" for my booth. I've learned I always do better when I bring in the freshest finds.

  9. Okay... my November was AMAZING. I sold so much Pyrex and cameras. Did you see my Black Friday Pyrex Motherload? I also just wrote a post about my sales. I wanted to share what I was actually selling. I would love to know what other people are selling!

  10. My November was great, but like someone else said above, Sep/Oct was terrible. I am hoping for a big December to carry me through Jan/Feb because I know those months are bad. On the plus side, thrifting is usually much better after the New Year with everyone de-cluttering! Thrifting (and Pyrex hunting) has been lousy here as well this month. My theory is that no one is really donating much since they're so busy with the Holidays...:)

  11. I have an 8x10 booth in an antique mall. November was my best month of the year because our mall has a sale for the last 2 weeks of the month (I did 25% off). December's starting slow, but maybe subzero temps have something to do with that. Sept/Oct were average. Luckily we have another sale in Feb. which really boosts winter sales. ~HelenesBooth42
