Goof grief, five months gone is long enough! What was that about you ask? I have a busy, busy toddler : ) Anyway, tomorrow starts a 10 day long road trip with The Little Dude and I'd love to share the fun. We'll be following my parents to Branson Missouri and while I'm not overly excited about our destination, I am really excited about the junking that is sure to happen. Stay with me (and thank you to those of you who have stuck with me during my hiatus), it's going to be good!

This Past Week...
Quality over quantity has been the theme at the thrifts lately, and I'll take it! Sales are still doing well at the booth, and turn around time for items is quick so I need to be finding good stuff consistently. Now if I could just sell more and stop hoarding, like this cute little red notebook for example. That lettering! Swoon!
Colorado weather is notoriously bi-polar as evidenced by this picture. Keeps us on our toes. Pretty nonetheless.
How's that for motivational! : ) I'm loving my booth so much right now. Any suggestions for future chalkboard sayings?
This shelf is awesome right?! I've never noticed it at my antique mall before (maybe it's new). It's genius how they used the pegboard to maximize their space.
I spent some time arranging this shelf over the weekend because it was getting overcrowded. It's still a bit full, but looks much much better. The clamps as bookends is my favorite part. Thank you Pinterest!
This wee little guy was found at an estate sale over the weekend. My first Viking! He's going to end up on Etsy soon, much to my inner hoarders chagrin.
This is supposed to be a braided recycled t-shirt rug. My sewing machine ate it... I'm going to try a walking foot per an Instagram friends advice. Hopefully I won't have to make a blood sacrifice to the machine...
Join us on Instagram. It's fun, I promise!

The Past Few Weeks...
The Little Dude gave me these little purple flowers and my heart dang near exploded out of my chest. He's such a sweet little monkey!
A few weeks ago I won a small lot of bakelite bangles on eBay and this beauty was hiding in it. I sanded and polished it to reveal all these lovely colors. It's a great "end of day" bracelet.
It's wonderful when they pose for pictures!
These all came in one grab bag from the thrift. Look at that original packaging - fabulous!!!
Squee! This is only the second bakelite bracelet I've scored from the thrifts in two years.
Our local King Soopers stocked up on beautiful succulents. Shut up and take my money!
My sweet, sweet little booth. Sales have been really good so far this year and I couldn't be more thankful. Means more shopping and more fun in Alaska! : )
It took every bit of willpower within me to not eat the whole box! Delightful!
So at first this was going to head to the booth, but now I'm having second thoughts. It's big and I don't have much space for it, but it's so unbelievably cool that I might have to make room.
What do you guys think? Keep or sell?
So have you succumbed to all the peer pressure and joined Instagram yet? Do it!!! : )

The Past Weeks...
I've been slacking!!! Slacking on blogging, slacking on commenting, slacking on thrifting - slacking on everything! Some of it is pure, unadulterated laziness, don't get me wrong. But most of my blog neglect is because we have been potty training The Little Dude for the past three weeks. I have been a bit preoccupied, to say the least. : )
All things considered, the booth got a little bit of love in the recent weeks. I got a really nice email from a customer last week. She was sweet enough to take time to tell me that she shopped at my booth when she could and I helped her finish her yellow Gooseberry set. She even said she loved my blog! Thanks so much Marianne. You made my day, that's for sure!
More bakelite! That light blue one on the left started out grubby and mustard colored. With lots of sanding and polishing it is back to it's lovely original light blue color.
I KNOW!!! Hahahaha! This thing is huge, and super obnoxious, but there was just no way it wasn't going home with me. The cephalopod lover in me wouldn't have it any other way.
The Husband didn't like his tangerine gimlet. Not a problem Not. A. Problem. : )
OHMYGOODNESS, OHMYGOODNESS, OHMYGOODNESS!!! These were in a bin at the thrift the other night. I saw the black and white and thought, "that can't be what I hope it is. Holy sh*t, it is!!!"Can you believe it?!
Mine! Mine! Mine! ; ) This little gem sang to me at the thrifts. It was magical...
This stack of bakelite bangles reminds me of a hamburger. I was overly amused by the resemblance all day.
My antique mall did a flea market in the parking lot a few weeks ago. It was fun, and a good learning experience, but I didn't sell as much as I hoped for. It was just meh.
~insert heavy breathing here~
Two of these sugar coated sugar pillows was all I could handle (even that was too much) but man, they sure were AWESOME!!!
Lets all have a moment silence please... Tragic, just tragic!
I did another market over the weekend that went much better than the previous one. It was in a fun touristy part of town behind some cute boutiques that I frequent. They have decided to do the market three more times this summer and I know I'll do at least one more.
Are any of you going to sell at or go to a few flea markets or vintage shows this summer?
So are you guys all on Instagram yet?! For me, it's the fastest way to share and keep up right now. Don't leave me hanging!!!

This Past Week...
This creepy dude stayed in his dusty spot in the antique store. ~shudder~
The Mom and I did a bit of antiquing on Monday in Pueblo and she picked up this super cool Princess rotary phone. She can't technically use it on her land line, but who cares! It's aqua and fabulous! Are you a vintage phone collector? After seeing this beauty, I could totally start a new collection!
We didn't get to spend Mother's Day together, but that's ok. We hung out the next day so I could give her this little ensemble. The tin is in rough shape, but that's what makes it so cool. And the top of the lid says, "to mother, with love." Perfect! Gardening is not my specialty, so hopefully this thing survives more than a few weeks.
This shade of blue is the closest to aqua Pyrex so far. Isn't if cheery and springy? It could be my new favorite color. Ok, it is. I keep looking down at my nails, admiring how pretty they are... I might need more things in my life. : )
Pyrex problems...running out of room!
So this is the bakelite bangle I found in Oklahoma a few weeks ago. It is big and beautiful, but the color was a bit muddy and it was super scratched up so I decided to sand it down and polish it. I could tell before I started that it would have some kind of marbling because you could see it underneath the patina if you looked hard enough. Well I didn't expect this! Two dark stripes and I don't think it is from the way I sanded it. This picture isn't doing it much justice, but I think it came out pretty nice.
Mmmmm...such a great way to start the day. Everything is better in Pyrex.
See that happy smiley guy right there? That's my twin brother standing next to his "new to him" airplane!!! I know, crazy uh? He lives in Alaska and is working on his pilots license. I'm so freaking proud if him! This guy dreams big and always goes for it and I couldn't admire him more.
Are you on Instagram yet? If you aren't, you totally should be! All the cool kids hang out there. Ok, that obviously isn't true if I'm on it... ; )

Thrift Haul - A Few Unusual Items
See those Black Snowflakes? Those ones right there in the picture? Yeah, I almost missed them ! I walked right past the pair (and their killer price tag) in a small antique shop while trying to chase after The Little Dude. Thankfully The Mom and her eagle eyes spotted them. Can you believe that I don't have these in my personal collection?! KEEP!!!
The booth can always use more Butterprint and unnumbered Primary dishes. They are always quick sellers for me. The hankies are destined for some kind of awesome project, though I don't know what it is yet. That's the story of my hoarder life... : )
Have you ever seen a glass washboard? Up until the other day, I didn't know they even existed. The print is really faded, but I can tell it was made by the Columbus Washboard Company. I'm guessing it was produced around the time of the second World War since it's glass and not metal. Other than that, I got nothing on this. Any washboard collectors out there? Do you know anything about this board? Hard to find, common, etc... It's in reseller limbo right now. Keep or sell? Ugh, I don't know!
And then there is this jar, this glorious pink jar. Pink is far from my favorite color, but I can't deny the beauty of this thing. It doesn't fit with my stuff, but I just can't imagine never seeing it again so it's going to The Mom.
Booth sales are still going strong, thank goodness! And I'll be doing a small outdoor flea market outside of my antique mall next weekend. The plan is to bring the stragglers and price them low so I can move stuff out. If it doesn't sell there, it's going to get donated! I have an embarrassing amount of, "what was I thinking" items...
In other news, The Little Dude is still waking up too dang early and I'm still super tired, though I'm getting more used to it. Hopefully it's just a phase...
I'm joining the parties at Sir Thrift A Lot, Mod Vintage Life, A Living Space, Ivy And Elephants, The Cottage Market, We Call It Junkin', The Colorado Lady, Bacon Time and Melissa's Antiques - the fabulous new hostess of Thrifty Things Friday. Have a great week everyone!

The Past Few Weeks...
This beautiful wreath came to existence. It was a gift for my Auntie who lives in Oklahoma. It's a bit pink for me, but she loved it! Ornament wreath making should definitely be a year round craft. So fun!
We drove out there for a long weekend and had a great time. And The Little Dude was a peach, it was amazing! Auntie knows how to make this chick happy, Pyrex and make-up! T Thank you! And lets take a minute to admire that vanity. It was in a cute little boutique store in the middle-of-no-damn-where Texas. I wanted to stick that little turquoise bug in my pocket and take it home! It was fantastic! My favorite find in Oklahoma is the bakelite bracelet on the left. Big and thick, and only $8! Score one for me!
I had some yummy drinks over the past few weeks too. The top left is a cucumber margarita that was to die for!!! Totally going to have to make that one at home. The bottom left a tangerine gimlet whose recipe magically appeared to me on Pinterest one night. It worked perfectly because it utilized the only drink ingredients we had. Serendipity right there folks. : )
It's hard for us to have plants outside here due to the massive herd of deer in the neighborhood (and snow), but I've been itching to do something springy. These succulents scratched that itch for now. Do you have a deer problem too? Any tips or tricks to keep them from eating your plants?
The Mom spotted this fun key chain at the thrifts and graciously let me buy it! One can never have to many globes! It's pretty old too. I can barely make out USSR, but I'm pretty sure it's there.
My cat was a wierdo. Caption this!
OH, MY, HOLY CRAP!!! This lamp...it's freakin' fantastic. It is a heat lamp originally but I just replaced the bulb with a fancy Edison bulb and voila... awesome industrial looking lamp. Keeper!
There was an industrial theme around my house this week apparently. A quick trip to Home Depot and I was able to make my own version of this pin. Quick, easy and relatively cheap - my kind of project!
The Mom and I went to the Horseshoe Market in Denver on Saturday and because we were one of the first 50 people in line, we got a great swag bag. So many wonderful goodies! That is such a fun market to go to. They have three more this year so if you're local, check it out.
The Little Dude painted this pot for me for Mother's Day! Isn't is precious?! I totally melted. Nothing is sweeter than a little kid (and husband) excitedly presenting his handmade creation to you. My heart damn near exploded out of my chest!
The Mom and me...almost thirty years ago! Ain't she purtty?!
Thankfully, The Mom convinced me to buy this little cabinet meant for perm rods. It has three drawers and that snazzy metal top. It's awesome!!!
Yup, that's snow... I keep trying to tell myself we need the moisture, but still... couldn't it have rained instead? : )
We're all still waiting for some of you to jump onto Instagram...
