Booth Update - Grrrrr

Seriously?!  Still no neighbor! You're killing me Smalls!  They have someone's name on it now, but no merchandise in it.  I've heard people rent small spaces and then don't do anything with them because the real intention is to write the rent off on their taxes.  Now I don't know if this is true or not, or how they do it, but if that is what happens in the booth next to me, I'm going to be peeved!  The sale weekend wasn't as good to me as I had hoped, but it also wasn't that bad since quite a few things sold.
I sold these two guys.  I'm glad they have gone to a new home!
I acquired the Square Flowers pieces from a great deal on eBay.  Not my favorite way to buy Pyrex, but I couldn't pass it up.  I also sold one of the Friendship Casseroles I talked about here.  Something different needs to happen under the table.  Any suggestions?

After the floofing was done, I wandered around for a bit and found this beautiful globe for a super good price.  I don't need any more globes, ten is enough, but I can always trade...which is exactly what I did!
I swapped it for one I didn't love as much, so now I have another globe to sell.  I love that we can do that!
Do you guys ever find yourself switching out new vintage finds for old finds in your house, and then selling or giving away the old one?  It's a great way to enjoy a lot of different things with out being a hoarder.
Thank you so much for all the great comments last week everyone!  Your encouragement and support means a lot to me!
I'm heading of to the Colorado Lady for Vintage Thingie Thursday.

  1. I am constantly swapping things in and out as my collections or decorating changes. I do a big garage sale every other year and this is the year...hopefully my garage will be manageable again!
I think you booth looks great - nice and full and plenty to draw you in. Suitcases are hard to display since they take up so much room.

  2. What if under the table you took out the pinkish box (hard to see what exactly it is) and the Pyrex dish, and just stacked the two suitcases on top of each other? I think you may need a little more 'breathing room' around them because I think they're getting lost--at first glance, they just read as part of the table (at least in the photo). Especially since underneath a table is naturally not going to get a lot of light, which will make it harder to see things.

I swap stuff around all the time! That's the beauty of this job/hobby! :)

  3. I can't seem to part with stuff to replace things for better things. But that is smart. New mantra. Maybe.

  4. I think I have that same Pyrex piece that you have under the table!

  5. OMG Your booth looks great! I want to dig through it! lol
Can you believe that I sold 3/4 of my Pyrex to someone on craigslist???? I had to MAKE myself do it! And now this lady is driving from SD to MN pick it all up. I sold it for way too little, but I was feeling like such a hoarder! I needed it gone!
So yes, I know what you mean about selling things to make room for more!

  6. I've been away from reading blogs, but you once asked about what drives you nuts about antique booths.. I only answered cluttered ones (I think)..

    but...

    - everybody with a booth, gotta make sure if you have a display case, MAKE YOUR PRICES VISIBLE. There are lots of times something has caught my eye, but I can't see the price. I don't want to bother anybody & would get a bit embarrassed if I couldn't afford it
    - if a tag is faded, replace it. A faded tag is a turnoff.
    - I don't like seeing glass items on the floor.
