Check out this Spring Flowers round cinderella casserole dish! It is in great shape and one of the more reasonably priced Pyrex items I have found at my favorite thrift store.
That same day I also found these Pyrex custard dishes. They say "double tough" on the back which I think means they were meant for commercial use in a restaurant. I'm having a hard time finding information on these, so if anyone has any insight, please share! I think these are staying with me...
This bread box also came home with me this week for $4! It is a little bit scratched up, but it is shinny and heavy and would be so cool as storage in someones craft room. Or perhaps as a bread box...
Mom scored this cool alarm clock. It just needs a little cleaning, and it will look brand new. It is in great condition! The font is super retro, I love it!

Last night we checked out a thrift shop that just opened a few weeks ago. The Husband found a Homer Simpson (beloved tv dad from our favorite show) chia pet that he is so excited about. This little raccoon planter is super cute and begging for an awesome succulent friend! We also found a cloche and a crocheted square that I will use as a wall hanging.
Now imagine them as price tags for the booth! How cool is that?! English on one side and Spanish on the other! I'm going to get a stamp in a pretty font for my booth number and vendor id, and the rest I will hand write. I'm not sure how many are in there, but I think they will last for a while!
Does anyone else use something unusual for their price tags? Any tagging and pricing advice is welcome! Please don't make me beg for help! : )
I'm going to hang out with The Colorado Lady for Vintage Thingy Thursday and then make my way over to Sir Thrift A Lot to participate in the newly christened Thriftosaurus Thrift Haul Linkup.
Have a great day everyone! Oh, and we got snow on Pikes Peak last night and in parts of town! I freakin love Colorado!
Good luck on your booth. With all the goodies you have, you should do well.
ReplyDeleteThanks LV!!!!
DeleteNever thought about using something like that as a price tag! Adorable! (Makes me see my vintage playing cards in a new light!)
ReplyDeleteWe print our tags and I perforate them with my unthreaded sewing machine, so the price portion can be torn off for the store, but the customer keeps our logo and website address.
I can never turn down a good breadbox!! Great price, too!
First, your blog is great! Second, you are a freakin genius! I would have never thought of that! Thanks for visiting!
DeleteHi Melissa!
ReplyDeleteI have just opened a booth in a local Antique Mall (check out my blog for the post) and I also do Craft Shows. I take scrapbook papers in brown patterns, cut 3" rounds, type and print up similar sized rounds with info about Brown Gingham Crations, use a hole punch and create a little book using brown gingham ribbon. I put one on everything I make. Folks keep in with my phone and e-mail on it. Oh and if you want to create your own business cards try Zazzle they are easy.
Holy handmade wonderfulness! They sound lovely!
DeleteWhat great finds! I adore your bread box, wish I could find one for my 1950's kitchen. I got a big chuckle out of the Homer Simpson chia pet, so much fun.
ReplyDeleteHappy VTT!
Thanks for coming by! The Husband was so excited about the chia pet, I had to give him a shout out. : )
DeleteGreat idea for labels. Read one post today (ThriftCore) and she takes pictures of china set up on a table, decorated and then prints them out and cuts the pictures up for labels on the china.

Thanks and I read the same thing! I'm thinking about doing that too. She has some really great tips.
DeleteLove your blog! Thanks for popping by mine, which seems like a newborn next to yours :-)
ReplyDeleteThat breadbox is great by the way, and Pyrex at reasonable prices are hard to resist (I have sold one Pyrex piece in my booth and it has been less than a month).
Looking forward to reading about your booth adventure. I love mine and the fact that I can shop for a specific place now (as opposed to my home which has enough vintage splendor, lol)
