Thrift Haul and Booth Update

Good gravy...have you ever just had one of those days were it seems like everything in your brain is negative and grumpy?  That's what I have going on right now.  Too many early mornings.  The Little Dude needs to get over this phase fast because I'm not going to last much longer!   Hopefully revisiting my fantastic haul with this post will help bring me out of my funk.
I have super mixed feelings about this beautiful set of Primaries.  The thrift decided to start putting their "collectible" Pyrex in the case with very high price tags.  That just pisses me off because it's a thrift store, not an antique shop.  Get over yourself.  Here's where I get conflicted.  It actually worked out for me.  I went in on half off day and there they were, still in the case, not separated or banged up, and most importantly - HALF OFF!  Ugh, I don't know...
At the same store mentioned above, I found these on the regular shelves.  And aside from having something yucky spilled on them they are perfect.  Not a single scratch.  So confused!  That adorable little ducky candle still has the Gurley tag on the bottom.

At one of the thrifts, an employee came up to tell me about these great table clothes (one is a Vera) she just put out.  "You look like someone who would like that kind of thing."  At first I was confused, then I realized I was wearing my Grandpa's old plaid work shirt, vintage jewelry, and a polka dotted scarf in my hair.  Yup, I totally looked like someone who would enjoy that kind of thing!  It was super nice of her.
These Libbey glasses came from the same store.  This is one of those, "I LOVE them, but can't keep everything" moments.  I listed them on Etsy.
Ain't she a beauty?!  And dang near perfect too.  It was a good week for me and Pyrex.

I walked into an estate sale with The Little Dude in one arm, spotted these Friendship bowls and walked out with them in the other!  Normally I wait to go without the kiddo (because he's heavy and grabby), but I knew this one was going to be good so I got there as early as I could.  I'm so glad I did, the orange one already sold!
I went back the next day and scored a few little odds and ends.  It was kind of surprising that the pink jar was still there on the second day.  The few bits of Christmas stuff had to be dug for, worth it though.  And keys, glorious keys!  They are quickly becoming my new favorite thing to collect.
This is my favorite find of the week, probably of the year actually.  I've always wanted one of these spools to use as a table.  And this one is in great shape and still has nice graphics on the top!  Now it just needs to stop snowing we could go out to the deck and actually enjoy it.
The antique mall had another vendor night last night so I took the time to change the chalkboard back to an old favorite and move things around.  It was really nice to have some chill, no grumpy ass kid whining at me time.  : )
So how has the start of the junking season been treating you guys?  Anyone score anything ridiculously cool yet? Speaking of ridiculously cool, did you see Melissa's suitcase bonanza?  Check it out here and enter her giveaway!  And, does anyone have any tips or advice to get a toddler to stay in bed past 5 am?  HELP!!!

This Past Week...

I fell in love with another lard bucket, though I didn't buy this one.  It was priced a bit high for me so I passed, but I had a dream about it last night so a trip back to the store might be in order.
We were either viciously attacked by a stomach bug or I accidentally poisoned dinner because HOLY COW, The Husband and I were sick, sick, sick.  I was telling The Mom that I hadn't been that sick (hangovers not included) since I was a little kid.  It was bad news for sure.  Thankfully it was short lived.
Ugh...I'm not meant to have New Dots.  Last week - a chipped green dots and then this week - a horribly dishwasher damaged blue dots.  Double damn!
It's so nice to have this space where the microwave used to be for display and storage.  It's going to be fun to play around with and rearrange.
With snow in the forecast, I decided to force some spring into our lives with some fun flowers.  These are great because they last for dang near forever, yet stay bright and pretty.
JOY!!!  Butterprint at the thrift!  I can't even remember the last time I found it in a thrift store.
 Age = Beauty!  Yes!
This is on the other side of the wall, above the cabinet.  It has by far been my most popular chalk board saying.
This makes me smile everyday.  I just love my new kitchen storage!
We celebrated The Best Buds 30th birthday and had so much fun! These props were from the craft store for next to nothing and they were a huge hit.  I think I need some frames like that!
Happy Birthday Yo!
Look at all the space I have for activities now!  I can finally hide away all the boxes and ugly shipping stuff.  Plus, with the old kitchen island in there I was able to get rid of two pieces of storage furniture and it feels so big and open.  If there were just find more hours in the day to be out there I'd be set : )

Are you using Instagram yet?  I sure hope your answer is either, "YES" or "no, but I'm doing it now"!

The Past Few Weeks...

Wasssssssuppppp!  It's been a while since I shared my Instagrams, so this is going to be a photo heavy post.  I don't think that Moe here really cares.  : )
We made jammie pants and they're so awesome!   I'm wearing mine right now.  Just in case you were wondering...  It's going to be a weird post.
Ah, yummy banana bread.  Or banana bread of DEATH!!!  I thought it was fine but I gave a piece to The Mom and she couldn't even get it down!  You know it's bad when your mom can't even stomach it.  Apparently using peanuts was weird (it was all I had) and the fact that they were probably pretty old didn't help either.
Old signs are always winners in my book.  This one looks like the "o"s used to be eyes.
Who the hell is going around taking huge bites out of Pyrex?!  Ugh...
I got the chalkboard wall changed.  Hopefully this week I can get more stuff added to the booth.  Getting kind of bare in there!
I've recently started doing my own gel nails at home and so far I'm pretty much in love with them.  This color turned out way more neon that I anticipated.  Still pretty though.
Yup, that's a shark eating a bowling ball return.  It's close to being the coolest thing ever.
The internet gave me this gem a few nights ago.  I will never tire of you internet, keep the good stuff coming!
This beautiful sculpture lives on a private property not far from my neighborhood.  The yard is full of these hand made windmills that have tons of moving parts.  They're so fun to watch.
New kitchen island!!!  I'll have a better picture pretty soon, but for now this will do.  It is larger than my other one, but it's so open it makes the kitchen look way bigger.  I LOVE IT!!!  What do you guys think?
 Just because I can.  : )
Finally, a fluff free way of preserving some of The Little Dudes moments.  I love me some list making!
Shut the front door!  Is that a vintage leather bag with my initials on it?  Yup, it is!  Winning!
More puppy love.  I wish they would stay this little forever.
The magazine that makes all our hearts flutter with excitement.  This issue has been my favorite one so far.
So my aunt told me she had some old toys and books that she doesn't want any more and asked me if I could help her sell them.  Sure I say, why not?  She brought over like 6 huge boxes of stuff last night!  Barbies, Barbie accessories, more clothes than one doll needs, a few cars, her damn huge ass dream house and a butt load of books.  And that isn't even all of it!  So I'm going to do a kind of pop up Instagram store to hopefully move some of this stuff pretty quickly.  Spread the word!  I don't have time to research everything, so there will be plenty of good deals for people I'm sure.

Thrift Haul - Hodge Podge

Where the heck have I been?  Two weeks of silence should mean I was up to awesomeness!  Yeah, not so much...  Things have just gotten away from me I guess.  Booth sales are kicking ass right now though, so hopefully I'll have lots of fun stuff to blog about in the coming months.

My first thrifted Desert Dawn!  It was in pretty rough shape, but I cleaned it right up and put it in the booth.  Same with the super cool Hazel Atlas pitcher.  Doesn't this have glasses that match?
These were all given to me by a friend of mine from high school.  She cleaned out her grandma's kitchen and thought of me because she's so dang sweet!  Check out the Jadeite!!!!  Plus, when we went to get the goodies, she gave The Little Dude an adorable haircut.  Multi-tasking queen over here people!  : )  Thanks Lindsey!!!
Check out this beefy mofo.  It's a Frankoma cookie jar that is in perfect ok condition.  I don't know anything about it, so I'm going to have to do some research before I sell it.  Does anyone have any experience with this kind of pottery? Update - I dropped a cup on the dang lid and chipped it.  Guess I'm keeping it now!
This was spotted in my antique mall and I scooped up with spastic quickness.  Isn't it awesome?   I LOVE this lard bucket!  Is it weird to love a lard bucket?  Not to you guys probably!  You don't judge, you understand, you get it.
Ok, blogger is being sassy and won't let me upload more pictures right now.  I'm going to have a stroke if I keep messing with it, so I'll save them for the next post.  I really wanted to show you guys my fabulous new stainless steel work table kitchen island.  It's FANTASTIC!!!

The Best Bud and I are headed up to Denver today to do some thrifting and goofing off with the kiddos.  Wish us luck!  I desperately need to fill up the booth.  Do you guys have any big plans for the weekend?
