Squeeee! This picture makes me happy, happy, happy! The Horizon Blue loaf pan was thrifted from a shop that has been withholding for weeks. Yes, finally! A volunteer set it down and I scooped it right up while trying to not audibly squeal. The other two were great picks from a little antique shop down the street. Three pieces of glorious Pyrex, two are staying with me.
Keep, keep, KEEEEEEP, OMG KEEP!!!! I found this atomic bullet shaped ice bucket at an antique shop for a really good price. I don't even care that it's scratched, it's AWESOME! Do any of you big brained lovelies know anything about this?
I don't usually buy Fire King, but the color of this large dish drew me in. That and the little weird brass bird are actually for sale! Holy crap, it is possible for me to sell something. Except for that super cute little Yum cup. Can't get crazy now...gotta keep something. : )
So you can probably already guess what I kept here. Got to represent! Woohoo Colorado! HA! Anyway, so that lunch box is kind of killing me. I took it to the booth yesterday, but I kind of want to go get it back. Think of the things I could store in that... Like little brass birds I don't need...
Thanks again for all the nice words about my kitchen guys! Tomorrow we're getting my new kitchen island and then over the weekend we'll hopefully be installing a new-to-us over the range type microwave (I can't think of what that's actually called right now). And then my twin brother will be here in a week or so and it's going to be so much fun!!! The three of us don't get to hang out together very much, so I'm pretty excited. It's going to be a busy few weeks and I couldn't be more grateful.
My first thought when I read your post title: NO SUCH THING. ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat finds! What works for me is to keep all the finds to enjoy for a while, then I'm ready to let go of a few...then even more later. Catch an release theory. :)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your finished kitchen. Enjoy your quality time with your brother. Reading a very good book about twin brothers right now, and their special bond. :)
Fire King ebbs and flows around here! I never have any when it's selling!
ReplyDeleteYAY for more kitchen updates!
Love the blue loaf pan! ♥
ReplyDeleteThat ice bucket is awesome, and I need you to send it to me right away.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I think the stand is upside-down :)
With such cool stuff no wonder you tend to keep it! I am a hoarder too, but I front it off with "being a set dresser" gotta have props and period pieces! ;). I love the hostess bowls, I need 2 more to finish me "set" of 4!
ReplyDeleteAwesome finds! :)
ReplyDeleteThe ice bucket is absolutely glorious! I keep veeeery little of my finds, like 1%? I wouldn't mind keeping the ice bucket around until it sells, all beautiful scores.
ReplyDeleteI would be keeping the orange pan, that's great for Halloween and fall displays!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, that loaf pan. Sigh. I'd definitely have to put it in the KEEP category. And yes - I feel your pain. My "maybe I'll keep it" pile is slowly taking over my guest room!
ReplyDeleteI'd keep those Pyrex pieces too, and the Fire King, and the lunch box probably, I'm just as bad as you are, ha ha! I think the pattern name of that big FK dish is Poppy. Thank you for sharing this at my History & Home link party this week! Take care - Dawn @ We Call It Junkin.com
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm from Colorado too! I would have definitely kept that.
