Early American isn't my favorite pattern personally, but people love it! I have sold every one of these pieces. This one came caked with some kind of goo on the handles, but a long soak in hot soapy vinegar water and a good scrub with BFK solved that problem.
It has been hard to push myself to look for items that aren't Christmas related lately, but it has to be done! Christmas doesn't last for ever...dangit! These cast iron owl trivets are absolutely perfect! This little family will be heading to the booth as soon as possible. Should I sell them as a family or separate them? I have been having a good time making jewelry with my vintage button collection, so when I saw these at a good price I couldn't pass them up. The jar also came with a few good extras.
I think my eyes are trained to spot good Christmas stuff now, because I spotted these fast. Then as I tried to act like a normal human and gain my composure, I found 6 more boxes of vintage ornaments. I had to squash my squeals of delight! It was tough, but I did it! This is the coolest box.
Things are moving really well and I couldn't be happier! This is so much freakin fun!
I'm joining the parties at Apron Thrift Girl, Sir Thrift A Lot, and A Living Space. Have a great week everyone!!!
Your booth is looking delicious.
ReplyDeleteIf I were selling the owl trivets, I would sell them individually. I'd like to see what everyone else will say, though.
Love the Shiny Brites! I think that I would sell the trivets as a set. They are so cute together and someone my actually want to display them on a wall rather than actually use them as trivets.
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays!
Erica
My mom has an owl trivet just like those. I love it. Keep them as a family. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by! The family will for sure stay together. :-)
DeleteIt seems like it was an actual set since Robins Roost Vintage found 5 too. I didn't know that. I changed my mind & say keep them as a set.
ReplyDeleteAnd I never thought about Erica's suggestion - putting them on walls.
Thanks for the input! I'll for sure keep them together as a little hoot hoot family.
DeleteWhere is your booth? I'm in Denver, I'd love to come visit it and buy some of your Pyrex!
ReplyDeleteHi Heather! It would be so stinking cool if you checked out my booth! It is in Colorado Springs at American Classics Marketplace on Academy and Constitution. If you haven't been, give yourself lots of time, the place is huge. thanks for stopping by!
DeleteIt IS huge! We went last month :) What a fun market! I bought an orange fridgie, but I don't think it was from your booth. I don't know? I'll be back though! Antiquing in the Springs is fun :)
