Great Year So Far

Wow!  This month at the booth has totally thrown me for a loop.  I expected less than awesome sales because everyone spent all their money for Christmas, but boy, I have never been so happy to be wrong!  I've sold so much this month it is unbelievable!  The Pink Gooseberry bowls and a ton of other Pyrex items have sold.  Plus a bunch of Christmas ornaments.  After all the excitement wore off, I got a little bit nervous.  "Holy crap!  I have to fill all those holes!"  For the past month I have been trying to take it easy on buying because I thought had too much, but when I went into the sun-room to get new stock to take to the booth, it was awfully slim pickings.  Thankfully the thrifts have been pretty nice to me this week.
Check out this cool owl clock!  It still works!
This tooled leather purse is in great condition.I love the shape of it and think I will use it for a bit.
While Butterfly Gold isn't my favorite pattern, it seems to sell really well.  These casserole dishes were priced really well and only needed a scrub down with Bar Keepers Friend to be brought back to life.
Sadly, this Primary Colors blue bowl was beyond repair.  It was priced right, but beat to heck so I thought I could try to revive it.  The scuffs came out, but it no longer has the lovely shine we have all come to know and love so much.   Bummer.
I’m such a sucker for planters.  Isn't this little ducky adorable?
A separate trip to my local thrifts yielded quite a bit too.  More Butterfly Gold.   And Verde Square Flowers.  These are replacing ones I sold this weekend.
I wrote about this on the Pyrex Collective III last week.  I also happened to have a lid for it too!  Now I just need to find the super cool cradle that originally came with it.

And how cool is this typewriter?!  The best part is that it still works!  It is heavier than heck though, which is a drawback, but I still think someone would love to have it as a decorator piece.
This old measuring cup is going to live with me for a little while.
But my most favorite purchase has to be this tin drink tray.  Check out the graphics on it!  This is going to replace my fruit bowl for a little while.  I want to enjoy it for a bit before I sell it.  It's so cool that we can do that!
This is the most recent picture of the booth.  Lots of stuff is moving!  The chalk board wall still needs some love though.
This week is going to be another busy one.  My mother-in-law is arriving Wednesday night, The Little Dude's first birthday party is on Saturday with his birthday that following Monday.  I can’t believe he is going to be 1!  Geez, time flies.
I'm joining the parties at Apron Thrift GirlSir Thrift A LotSumo's Sweet Stuff and A Living Space.  Have a great week everyone!!!

    1. Yes, the Pyrex Gods are shining down on me for sure! I love the purse too! Do you sell bags in your booth? I've had one sitting around for a while now and I'm not sure what to do with it.

  4. Normally in any post featuring Pyrex, it would be my most favorite thing. Except this time! That tooled leather purse is AMAZING!! I am a huge handbag collector and if you decide to part with it, let me know! You definitely scored with that tray too and what an awesome idea to use in in place of your fruit bowl.

    Have a great week!

    1. I will for sure let you know Erica! Do you think it has any age to it? I don't know a whole lot about these bags other than it's awesome!

  8. Ooh, one of these days I'll find a typewriter like yours! Even at the thrifts up here they're all marked pretty high. I'll be patient!

Love the tooled leather purse! My purse is not vintage but it is thrifted and it is tooled leather--and I get compliments on it ALL THE TIME! I bet if you carry that one, you will too!

    1. The type writer is so cool, it's killing me to sell it. I have been carrying the purse for a few days now and have gotten lots of compliments on it. Actually, I think I found it at a thrift in your neck of the woods. You guys have good stuff up there! :-)

  9. My Mom had a leather making phase - purses, belts, I even remember sandals!! This looks just like something she and her fellow leather making buddies would have made!!

You found some great things-hope it picks up around here!

    1. Thanks so much! It is weird how it works. Some times I will have a slow month while others rock, or the other way around. It's an unpredictable business for sure!

  11. I wish I were closer so I could visit your booth! Glad to hear it's doing well.
Is your chalkboard magnetic too? If so, you could probably us it for additional display with magnetic containers or hooks, and it would be easy to move them around. If it isn't, I believe you can get magnetic chalkboard paint.
For this season, you could decorate it for Valentine's.
    Just some ideas...
    :)

    1. Thanks! It sadly isn't magnetic and I haven't had much luck with magnetic paint. It doesn't give the magnet much to hold to. You're right, I need to get my butt down there and decorate for Valentine's Day!

  15. The graphics on the tray are too cool. I have never, ever seen square flowers in a thrift store here.. only seen it once in an antique market. Weird, eh?
