Thrift Haul - Pint Sized Suite Case and Dishes

Last week felt super busy for some reason, so I was only able to squeeze in one good thrifting trip.  The Little Dude and I drove down to Pueblo and hit a few shops before heading home for lunch.  Was it worth the hour long round trip?  The Little Dude slept peacefully both ways and Mommy got a bit of quiet time, so yeah, it was worth it!  Plus I found some neat stuff.
My one piece of Pyrex last week, but it is a beauty.  It looks like it was never even used.  And those mid century salt and pepper shakers are beat up something fierce, but I think I can rehab them a bit.  I love the little China Tea set.  Something about miniature stuff  always makes me smile.  This suitcase is mini too.  I love the old school stripes on it, plus it's interior is in great shape!
I don't know anything about this bottle, just that I liked the colors and the design.  Does anyone have any info on this?  Is it Pyrex?
I bought the metal basket and yard sticks with the intention of making a cool shelf for the booth, but I think I'm going to like it so much that I will keep it!  I'm allowed to do that every once in a while dangit!  : )  The rolled up thing in there is an old USGS contour map of a mountain in New Mexico.  It appeals to the nerd in me, so I'm going to keep it for a future project.
Hopefully this week includes lots of thrifting and lots of projects because I got a thrifty/crafty itch that I need to scratch!  Do you have a cool craft project you're working on this week?
I'm joining the parties at Apron Thrift GirlSir Thrift A Lot, RemnantMod Vintage LifeThe Thrifty Groove, A Living Space and Joyful Treasure Hunting. Have a great week everyone!

  3. I understand wanting to keep the metal basket, those are kind of a weak point for me!

  4. My Dad used to bring me tea sets (when I was little) when he went on business trips so I have a particular soft spot for those. Also love that bottle...that aqua is gorgeous.

  7. The metal basket is a vintage milk crate. I have a bunch of them that I use to store hats and gloves on my closet shelves.

  9. I believe that the carafe is by George Biard who did some things for Pyrex. But don't quote me on that! I know I've seen it before at a local antique mall and that is what the tags says. I've never actually looked at the carafe since it's in a display case so who knows if the dealer is telling the truth or not!

Those milk crates are hugely useful! I have about 12 of them sitting in my shop right now holding garage sale items I need to price. Not the most fun use for them but practical for sure.

Glad you enjoyed your peaceful drive:-)

  11. No cool crafting here, just a bunch of cleaning. The usual.

Isn't that the colour of stripes of a popular Gucci style belt? & yeah, Erica is probs on the right track about the bottle.. I would put linens in that basket!
