This Past Week...

The back splash is finished!  Holy crap, it looks SOOOOOOOOO much better.  I blogged about it here, I'm pretty dang proud of it.  Thank you for all the encouragement and nice words guys!  You're the BEST!
I'm not sure who was more startled, me or the owl.
The Little Dude fell asleep in my lap as we were watching Dumbo.  My dumbass continued watching it and I cried like a fool at the "baby of mine" scene.  Dang Disney...tugs at the heart strings.
Six more inches of snow fell on top of what we already had here.  I know it's nothing compared to what some of you have gotten, but we haven't had snow like this in a really long time so it's pretty exciting.
It's so nice to be at a point in my life where I am able to embrace my strangeness.  : )
Little by little I'm adding to my Valentine's Day decor.  I bought these sweet cards from Shara via Instagram.
This is Benji.  Soak it all up...the cute drips off this little dude.
And this is Benson.  Yup, that's right, there's two!  These cutey patooties belong to my parents and they are the squishiest, sweetest little puppy wuppy faces ever.   Sorry about that... 0_o
Stop.  Just stop dude, it's too much. cute!!!
Ok, enough of that.  Check out this pretty little ring I thrifted the other day.  The stone is super clear and bright, though I have no clue what it is.  It could be glass for all I care, I still like it.
These curtains are cute right?  I used some flour sack towels I had and thought I was a damn genius!  Well five minutes later, reality came crashing down onto my counter, knocking over a few plants in the process.  I'm going to try again, but this time I'll secure the saggy center of the rod.  Live and learn I guess... I'm still a bit salty about it.
And last but not least, I bought this and told The Husband it was his to give to me.  He didn't get it at first.  HA!!!  Sometimes I crack myself up!  Look at that face...terrifying!
I sent The Husband a few hints for what he could get me for Valentine's Day, should he feel so inclined.  I hate to do that, but I also hate when I get bugged at him for getting me something weird/expensive/nothing because he didn't know what to get.  I'm just trying to help him out!
Do you drop hints to your main squeeze when gift giving time rolls around or do you just let them figure it out?

Instagram.  It's awesome.  No joke.

  1. Ew - that owl!
    Aw - that dog!

I don't get anything for Valentines Day. So.. no point in dropping hints! My BF has no creativity when it comes to surprises or presents.

  2. OK- there is so much going on over here that I don't know what to say! LOL
don't even get me started on Dumbo and Baby of Mine. It absolutely crushes me! lol I have a Pinterest board called that too. Benson and Benji are insanely cute. OK...going to go look at your new backsplash! Did you do it yourself?? Wow!
    Erica :)

  3. Your posts brighten my day, lol! You did an outstanding job on your kitchen, and should be proud! Oh, I know with little dude you can't, but I avoid those Disney movies like the plague....tear city! Lots of goodies in this post, how cute are those puppies? Enjoy your Valentines Day! Love that card.

  4. Puppy! And yes the backsplash looks gorgeous, great improvement you did there.

  5. puppies! Lovely puppies! and good job on the backsplash!

  6. Good LORD, that's an unbearable amount of puppy cuteness!! A little Boston lives next door to me, and it's all I can do not to squeal and run over to squeeze his widdle cheeks every time I see him. Oh, and your backsplash looks AWESOME!

  7. Backsplash looks wonderful! I never would have thought to paint tile!

  8. I want that ring. SO MUCH! tearjerker. Yet drunk elephants (on parade) are pretty awesome!
