This weeks thrift haul is pretty puny for two reasons. One: the shelves lately are mostly full of junk and pitiful broken stuff. Two: I haven't had much time to hit my favorite shop more than once this week because things are rolling on the booth! I have almost all of my replacement price tags written. My sign is done! A cute little display shelf is painted. And yesterday we got a coat of chalkboard paint up on the wall! Today we will do one more coat of paint and probably set the table up. And thank the lucky stars! Tomorrow is vendor night at my antique mall so they will be staying open late to give vendors extra time to revamp their booths for the holidays. I know it seems like I am needlessly stressing to get this done, but I will be out of town next week, so I have to get this moving before I leave! I have enlisted the help of The Mom though, so what I can't get done she will take care of. She is crazy good at arranging and floofing and I am super thankful to have her help!
On with the thrifty goodness! Everything but one item will be going to the booth in the next few days. I bet most of you know which one is staying with me.
This sweet little jack ass will tell you the temperature while melting your heart. (Sorry, couldn't help my self!)
This candy bucket looks old to me, but it is hard to tell. The inside feels kind of fibrous while on a new one the inside is smooth. Either way, I really like the shape of it and the smirk on her face. Does anyone know how to tell the vintage candy buckets from the new ones?
This syrup jar has a faint hint of Pyrex, but its a sham. I'm not going to hold that against it, I still like it.

And last but not least we have this pretty little butterfly tin tray. I thought it would look really fancy on someones night stand or dresser as a change or jewelry caddie.
So which item do you think I'm keeping? If you guessed the pumpkin you guessed right. I really like her!!!
Love it all. I would have to keep the pumpkin and the tin tray. I love those and have several in different patterns. They come in handy for lots of things.
ReplyDeleteYes they do come in handy! It's nice when practical things are pretty too! Thanks for stopping by, I love reading your comments!
DeleteI don't use syrup on anything, but I like that syrup holder. The candy bucket looks a lot like the ones my sister & I used in the mid to late '80s.
ReplyDeleteI thought the same thing about the syrup holder! Ha! I kind of felt like it was pretty 80's too, I'm glad someone else thought so too.
DeleteI was hoping you would keep the donkey!
ReplyDeleteMajority rules...the donkey stays!!!
DeleteI thought the donkey, too! The mom
ReplyDeleteThey are all useful, but love the winking pumpkin.
ReplyDeleteMy heart says the donkey! Keep the donkey! Who knows how often you will need to know the temperature indoors? Happy Rednesday!
ReplyDeleteThat little donkey is such a cutie -- I think I would have had to keep him!! But the pumpkin bucket is cute too! I've never seen one winking!
