Weekly Instagram Recap

I'm sure you guys won't be surprised to see that I'm still loving Instagram.  I'm even beginning to hate the crazy filters less and less...though I still feel like a hipster when I use them!  : )  I won't pressure you to jump on the bandwagon like I did last week.  Just consider this a gentle nudge.  NUDGE NUDGE!

This tree in our front yard has been putting on quite a show for us.  Have I mentioned before that I LOVE fall?!

 Damn me and my quick hands!  I grabbed this thinking it was all glass, but it turned out to be plastic.  Have you ever been tricked like that at the thrifts?

 I made fried green tomatoes and they were so YUMMY!!!  I didn't get to use my Big Momma's recipe because I didn't have any cornmeal.  This one used Panko bread crumbs which for some reason I had.  Since I couldn't use her recipe, I used the utensils that she and my Big Daddy made by hand. 

Happy Halloween!  This is The Little Dude, or Neil Armstrong and his Mommy (fun excuse to wear a vintage dress and a petticoat!)  I did my hair in pin curls and it actually worked really well.  I was expecting a poofy mess, but I liked the way it brushed out.  

Isn't he adorable?!  He obviously got his photogenic-ness from his Daddy! 

I took White Chocolate and Peanut Butter Puppy chow to our neighbors party.  It's better in vintage Pyrex!  

 OH MY HOLY CRAP!!!  Look at the Cathrineholm my Mother-in-Law brought for me!!!  It's huge and I'm in love.  She got it and a salad bowl as a wedding present years ago and never used it.  Lucky me!

 Rest in peace beautiful pink Gooseberry...

 This came in a bag of scraps from the thrift store.  I was wicked bummed to see that it was just a small piece but I'll still keep it.  My inner hoarder wouldn't have it any other way.

 My name is Melissa and I have an ornament problem.  There, I admitted it and can now take steps to getting better and stop buying them...NAH, who am I kidding, that's never going to happen!  I love vintage ornaments!!!  

 I bought this cool poster last week, but just haven't had time to research it.  Well now I have time but I have no info!  I can't find anything about it.  Figures...

Oh, I found a cool app for my phone that does panoramic photos.  I was looking for one so that I could take a wide angle picture of my sun room.  It's a constant struggle to keep it tidy and sharing it with you guys helps me keep it from getting nuts.
