Can't Buy Everything

It is really hard to be objective when buying stuff for resale. I want to buy everything! This is not what reasonable people do and it makes me feel a little bit like a hoarder so this is where I will pay respects to the items that were left behind.

This wanted to come home with me but I firmly said "No brain!  No one uses those anymore and it will just take up space in the booth."  How is that for putting my foot down?!

These old Avon soaps were calling to me as well.  Please don't ask why, I have no good reason...

Aren't these glass saucers pretty?  I have seen them on  blogs before, but I was unsure and didn't want to pay the arm and leg they were asking for!

This old plate caught my eye with it's fading pretty little painting.  I flipped it over and found this sticker.  "Down East Crafts"!  That is the part of Maine my Grandma is from and where my Mom was born.  I would have bought it, but I don't want to get into the business of buying things for the cool sticker.  Again, I told the brain, "NO!"
I thought this little elephant was cute, and someone would surely want to purchase him from my booth, but they wanted $7.99 for him and that right there made me put it down.  I didn't even have to argue with the brain.  Another case of thrift store price madness!
So that is it for now.  I'm sure this will be a recurring theme in my posts because there will always be great stuff that can't come home with me.  I'm going to head over the How Sweet the Sound for Pink Saturday and then off to the craft show!  Have a great day everyone!

  1. The elephant is to cute but 7.99 a little high, there will be another day and another thrift store.

  2. I know what you mean, I want everything too, but at least you resell yours. I love to go thrifting and estate saling, but I'm reaching the upper limits of how much "stuff" I can have around here. Good luck with your booth. Happy Pink Saturday!! ~Lorraine ♥♥♥

  4. You and your brain are very strong! It is a pitty that the 'thrift' shops aren't so thrifty anymore. Even Goodwill seems to have upped its prices! That little elephant is a cutie though!
